During field research in Suzhou, China, the artist collaborated with a master craftsman to study the traditional technique of locksmith embroidery, a method historically used to secure metal wires onto fabric. Recognizing the potential for this technique to transcend its conventional application, the artist explored its adaptability to alternative linear materials.

By incorporating optical fibers and integrating sound sensors, the artist developed an embroidered lighting fixture that dynamically responds to the rhythm of music. This work bridges traditional craftsmanship with contemporary technology, highlighting the capacity for cultural heritage techniques to evolve and find new expression within modern design contexts.
